Five Arrested and Five Cited at Diamond Bar DUI Checkpoint
Diamond Bar, Calif. – On August 4, 2023, three (3) were arrested for DUI, one (1) was arrested for driving with a suspended/revoked license, one (1) was arrested for knowingly allowing an unlicensed driver to drive and five (5) were cited for being unlicensed at a DUI checkpoint.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Diamond Bar Boulevard and Highland Valley Road from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
