* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Cherokee. Portions of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Jasper and Newton.
* WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 959 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Public reported Turkey Creek was out of its banks. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Joplin, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Carterville, Duquesne, Duenweg, Leawood, Silver Creek, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Redings Mill, Grand Falls Plaza, Brooklyn Heights, Shoal Creek Estates, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Oakland Park, Iron Gates and Atlas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
