Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Monday
The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from noon today to 9 PM MDT this evening. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued from noon to 9 PM MDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area. In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 491 Southeast Utah.
* WINDS...For today's Red Flag Warning, west 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. For Monday's Red Flag Warning, west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. For Tuesday's Fire Weather Watch, west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...6 to 11 percent.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will become favorable for easy ignition and rapid spread of fires due to low relative humidity and strong gusty winds.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA ... PARADOX VALLEY ... SOUTHEAST UTAH
