Fatal Traffic Crash

On 08/06/23 at approximately 6:53pm, Janesville Police and Fire responded to a traffic accident with injuries at the intersection of Center Av and Burbank Av in the City of Janesville.  The driver and passenger of a southbound motorcycle collided with a truck.  The driver and passenger of the motorcycle were injured and transported to Mercy Hospital in Janesville.  The driver of the motorcycle died at Mercy Hospital from injuries sustained in the crash. 
 
At this time the Rock County Sheriff’s office is assisting with a reconstruction of the crash scene.  This investigation is still on going.  The name of the driver of the crash will be released by the Rock County Medical Examiner’s office at a later date.
