Highland Park’s annual Parkstock outdoor summer concert series - 8/10
This Thursday the Borough's Parkstock free summer concert series will welcome the John Bianculli Quartet to the stage in Donaldson Park.
John Bianculli is a lyrical and soulful jazz pianist, composer and teacher originally from Greenwich Village in Manhattan. He has worked with jazz greats and recording artists such as Steve Nelson, Jeanie Bryson, Cassandra Wilson, Charlie Rouse, Terence
Blanchard, Regina Belle, Christy Baron and Earl May and many others.
The John Bianculli Trio with Sue Williams on bass and Tom Baker on drums play an eclectic mix of classic jazz, standards, Latin, Brazilian, Pop, and R&B, including original arrangements of Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Duke Ellington, JS Bach, Chopin, Bowie, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Earth, Wind and Fire, Sinatra, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Coldplay, Hank Williams, Blues, originals and much more. Their dynamic original music is a unique blend of Jazz, Latin, Brazilian rhythm and blues and world music. The rain date for this show is Thursday August 17th.
This concert will be held this Thursday, August 10th, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, in the gazebo in Grove 1 in Donaldson Park, with ample parking available nearby. Food vendors Harry's Lil Kitchen - Spanish Cuisine, Bella Ciao - Brick oven pizzas, Davey B's Shaved ice - assorted ice cream and treats, assorted drinks and refreshments, will be available on site for purchase.
