Avery-Madison-Yancey-Mitchell-Swain-Haywood-Buncombe-Graham-Northern Jackson-Macon-Southern Jackson This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western North Carolina. Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the Internet for more information about a Tornado Watch. In addition, widespread severe storms are expected to develop this afternoon, and will be capable of producing damaging winds, as well as large hail, torrential downpours, and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.
