* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Cherokee County in southwestern North Carolina... Northern Bradley County in east Tennessee... Southeastern Loudon County in east Tennessee... Northern Polk County in east Tennessee... Southeastern McMinn County in east Tennessee... Blount County in east Tennessee... Monroe County in east Tennessee... Southwestern Sevier County in east Tennessee...

* Until 245 PM EDT.

* At 220 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Lenoir City to 6 miles east of Athens to Lakesite, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Cleveland, Maryville, Alcoa, Benton, Etowah, Charleston, Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, Vonore and Greenback. This includes Interstate 75 in Tennessee between mile markers 24 and 30.
