The Festival of India will take place at the Fremont Hall of Justice parking lot and surrounding areas in Downtown Fremont on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The parade will take place on Sunday, August 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Road Closures:
The following road will be closed from Friday, August 18 at 6:00pm to Monday, August 21 at 6:00am or Sunday, August 20 at 11:59pm:
- Walnut Avenue – between Paseo Padre Parkway and Liberty Street
The following additional road closures will take place on Sunday, August 20 from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the parade.
- Paseo Padre Parkway – between Mowry Ave and Stevenson Blvd
- Liberty Street – between Capitol Ave and Beacon Ave
- Capitol Ave – between State St and Paseo Padre Parkway
- Kearny St – between Stevenson Blvd and Liberty Ave
Parking Lot Closures:
The following parking lots will be closed on Sunday, August 20 from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the parade.
- City Hall Parking Lot
- City of Fremont Family Resources Center (FRC) Parking Lot
- City of Fremont Development Services Center Parking Lot
