It all started at Calaveras High School as a part of the Regional Occupation Program, where a young Murray discovered her passion for becoming a first responder. This led her to serve as a medic in Calaveras and San Joaquin Counties for 14 years. By December 1999, Sergeant Murray took her commitment further by joining the Sheriff's Office. After her intensive training at the Ray Simon Criminal Justice Training Center Law Enforcement Academy, Sergeant Murray embarked on a journey where she embraced various pivotal roles.
From Patrol Deputy to Lake Camanche Deputy, Senior Deputy to Detective, and Search and Rescue team member to her elevation as Sergeant – her journey is a testament to her versatility. Her role as the lead supervisor during the Sheriff's Office's tenure overseeing animal services and her involvement in the construction and transition to the new Sheriff's Office and Jail complex underscore her invaluable contribution.
In her recent role as the Sergeant for the county's Court Security Division, Sergeant Murray worked diligently to ensure the safety of the staff and the public. Her efforts in site security assessments and coordinated security enhancements stand as a testament to her dedication.

Today she was presented a proclamation, unanimously adopted by the Supervisors of the County of Calaveras, State of California. Presented and read by Supervisor Martin Huberty, it commemorates Sergeant Murray's significant contributions.
Sheriff DiBasilio took a moment to share a personal account of working alongside Sergeant Murray in which he recalled an incident where she confronted a subject nearly twice her size. Despite the odds, her training and determination enabled her to handle the situation with remarkable skill.
