The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Lawrence County in eastern Arkansas... Randolph County in eastern Arkansas... Eastern Baxter County in north central Arkansas... Fulton County in north central Arkansas... Izard County in north central Arkansas... Sharp County in north central Arkansas... North Central Stone County in north central Arkansas...

* Until 1230 AM CDT.

* At 912 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen over the past hour...some of which has fallen in areas that saw heavy rainfall this morning. Additional thunderstorms are expected to move over these same areas over the next hour or two... with additional heavy rainfall expected. As a result...flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pocahontas, Walnut Ridge, Cherokee Village, Hoxie, Melbourne, Salem in Fulton County, Ash Flat, Black Rock, Lake Charles State Park, Horseshoe Bend, Cave City, Calico Rock, Highland in Sharp County, Mammoth Spring, Hardy, Imboden, Oxford, Ravenden, Reyno and College City.
