* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties, Blount, Jefferson, Shelby and St. Clair.
* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 700 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Pelham, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Helena, Hueytown, Gardendale, Pell City, Irondale, Leeds, Moody, Fairfield, Fultondale, Springville, Odenville and Center Point.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BLOUNT, AL ... JEFFERSON, AL ... ST. CLAIR, AL ... SHELBY, AL
