Activity for August 9, 2023:
- Officers were dispatched to 71 calls for service and made 4 arrests.
- Officers were dispatched to Nelson Towers on W. Michigan Ave. for shots fired. The investigation found it to be an accidental discharge of a weapon. A warrant will be sought against a 56-year-old male for the offense.
- Officer Goings is investigating a B&E in the 300 block of Bates St.
- Officer Baker was dispatched to the 700 block of Greenwood for a domestic situation. A 46-year-old male was arrested for the assault.
- While investigating a retail fraud at the Family Dollar on Prospect St., Officer Goings arrested a 23-year-old female suspect for the theft and for an outstanding warrant.
- Officer Erwin investigated a domestic situation and an accidental discharge of a firearm. A warrant will be sought against a 57-year-old male for the reckless discharge.
- Officer Justice was dispatched to the 1500 block of Deyo St. for several dogs running loose in the area.
