The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises residents that there is a potential for heavy rain and flooding this afternoon.

Scattered showers/storms will give way to areas of downpours during the afternoon. Moderate to heavy downpours in the afternoon can lead to areas of poor drainage/roadway flooding. There is the potential for a narrow corridor of prolonged or repeated downpours/storms to bring locally 2”+ of rain.

These hardest hit spots can see some resulting stream/creek issues and some more impactful flooding. Downpours/area wide rain turns more showers in the late afternoon before tapering in the evening.
