Full Notification

 The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department and Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department are currently engaged in an Active Shooter Training Exercise at Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School.  There will be a heavy police/EMS presence in the area of the school.  The scenario may also include units from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Grand Rapids Police Department, Nekoosa Police Department and Port Edwards Department.  It will also be using the main Dispatch radio channels as a means of communication, so scanners will pick up information referencing an Active Shooter.  THERE IS NO DANGER TO THE PUBLIC.  This scenario is expected to last until approximately 1 pm/4pm.
