Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Friday

* WINDS...South 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph this afternoon and evening. On Friday, south winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Dropping to 20-25 percent in the Big Country, and 18-22 percent across the rest of the area this afternoon. On Friday, dropping to 18-22 percent area wide in the afternoon.

* FUELS...Critically to Extremely dry.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Any outdoor activity that could produce flames or sparks is discouraged. A few thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening across the Big Country and northern Concho Valley. Additional hazards of lightning and locally strong downburst winds will accompany the storms.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Critical fire weather conditions will persist through 9 PM tonight, and will return from Noon to 9 PM on Friday.
