Shooting - 1455 Madison Avenue - Veterans Memorial Senior Center 
On August 10, 2023, Redwood City Police 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch received reports from multiple callers about shots being fired in the area of the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male adults suffering from gunshot wounds. The males were transported to a nearby trauma hospital for treatment, and are expected to survive their injuries.
Preliminary information suggests this incident is the result of a failed narcotics sales transaction and there is no ongoing threat to the general public.
Thus far, not all persons involved in this incident have been forthcoming with law enforcement investigators about the details of what occurred. The Redwood City Police Department requests anyone with information about this incident to contact Detective Brian Luo at 650-780-7619.
