DETAILS: On Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 9:18PM, Officers were sent to the 4100 block of S. Washington on a traffic crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle. Witnesses stated the Motorcycle was traveling North on Washington and the SUV turned onto Washington from a private parking lot and was driving south. The MC and the SUV hit head on. The driver of the SUV had serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The driver of the Motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries. He is identified as Sean Philpot, male, age 18. His next of kin has been notified. The Traffic Follow-up Unit is investigating.
