NARRATIVE:
On August 10, 2023 at approximately 9:30pm Deal Headquarters advised patrols of the presence of a stolen vehicle in our jurisdiction. The officers involved were able to locate the vehicle and conduct a felony motor vehicle stop on Memorial Drive in the City of Asbury Park. The accused along with two juveniles were arrested and detained without incident.
The accused was transported to Deal Police Headquarters for processing and charging. The accused was subsequently charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, hindering his apprehension, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license. In accordance with bail reform guidelines, the accused was released on a summons pending a court date. The juveniles were released to the custody of their guardians.
The Deal Police Department reminds the public to always lock your vehicles when you are not with them and to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
