Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Sunday
The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Red Flag Warning for dangerous fire weather conditions, which is in effect from 1 PM to 9 PM CDT Sunday. The Red Flag Warning remains in effect for this afternoon.
* WINDS...South winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...16-22 percent in the afternoon.
* FUELS...Critically to Extremely dry.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Any outdoor activity that could produce flames or sparks is discouraged. A few thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening across the Big Country and Concho Valley...along and north of a Sterling City to Sweetwater to Anson to Throckmorton line. Additional hazards of lightning and locally strong downburst winds will accompany the storms.
