Summary:
On Friday, August 11, 2023, at about 8:30 p.m., Rancho Cucamonga Police Department deputies responded to the 11500 block of Mount Rainier reference a disturbance. Approximately 75 people arrived in the residential neighborhood to protest an event which took place earlier this year, outside the city of Rancho Cucamonga.
Deputies were present to ensure the safety of both the residents and protesters. During the protest, a protester alleged a resident of the neighborhood committed a battery and demanded a citizen’s arrest. The resident was arrested for battery and released with a citation. After approximately two hours, the remaining protestors left the location.
