INCIDENT: PC 245(a)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 1400 Block of Needles Highway, Needles, CA

SUMMARY: On Saturday, August 12, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Needles Highway for a male who had been assaulted.
Deputies located a male victim suffering from major injuries. During the investigation, it was determined the victim was struck several times with a weapon. The victim was provided medical treatment at the scene prior to being transported via airship to an area hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
