Sherriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on August 12, 2023 at approximately 4:09pm, his deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash. This crash occurred on M 62 and Indian Lake Rd., Silver Creek Township, Cass County, Michigan. Initial investigation showed, 90 year-old, Granger resident, Thomas Tyler, was traveling northbound on Indian Lake Rd.  Tyler failed to yield at the stop sign at Indian Lake and M 62.  63 year-old, Dowagiac resident, Terry Daisy, was traveling eastbound on M 62. Tyler’s vehicle entered the intersection and struck Daisy’s vehicle, forcing it off the roadway. 
 
Assisting agencies at the scene include, Indian Lake Fire Department, and  Pride Care Ambulance.  Tyler was treated at the scene.  Daisy was transported to South Bend Memorial for his injuries.  Both individuals were wearing seatbelts and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
