INCIDENT: Fatal MotorcycleTraffic Investigation

Traffic investigators from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic collision involving a vehicle vs. motorcycle. The incident took place in the intersection of Avenue H and 30th Street West, in the City of Lancaster.
Preliminary investigation indicates a female adult in a Toyota Tundra was traveling westbound on Avenue H and reportedly made a left southbound turn onto 30th Street West. A male adult on a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Avenue H approaching 30th Street West. The motorcycle collided into the Toyota Tundra which ignited into flames, and the male adult was ejected from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics.
The cause of the collision is still being investigated. Speed may be a factor in the collision. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a role.
