Activity for August 11 – 13, 2023:
August 11, 2023:

  • Officers were dispatched to 67 calls for service, conducted 5 traffic stops, and made 2 arrests.
  • Officer Debczak conducted a personal welfare check on a subject in the 200 block of Wesley St.
  • Cadet Richardson attended the Back to School Bash at Woodland Hills.
  • Officer Kuhn visited Hunt Elementary School.
  • The Jackson Police Department is investigating a shooting which occurred in the 900 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr.
  • Officer Mulder arrested a 45-year-old male for violating a Personal Protection Order.
  • Officer Reasoner took a report in the 800 block of Third St.  He arrested a 20-year-old female for domestic assault and Entering Without Permission.
  • Officers assisted the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department with an incident on Hinckley Blvd.
August 12, 2023:
  • Officers were dispatched to 74 calls for service, conducted 20 traffic stops, and made 5 arrests.
  • Officer Schram arrested a 34-year-old male on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • While working patrol, Detective Tinklepaugh was dispatched to Henry Ford Health Jackson and is investigating an assault which took place there.
  • Director Hitt, Sergeant Kruso, and Officer Elston attended the Victims of Violent Crime Memorial Service at Cascades Park.
  • Sergeant Hibbard along with Officers Allison and Debczak, attended the Southside Summer Festival.
  • Officer Debczak conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of N. East Ave. for a license plate which did not match the vehicle it was on.
  • Officer Reynaga made contact with a subject in the 100 block of W. Michigan Ave.  He arrested the 51-year-old male on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Brooker went to Reed Manor for a subject causing problems.  He ultimately arrested the 45-year-old female on two outstanding warrants.
  • Officer Reasoner contacted a subject near the Rotunda in Sharp Park and arrested the 31-year-old female on an outstanding warrant.
  • Officer Simon took a report of a domestic assault in the 500 block of Cooper.  He arrested a 38-year-old male for the assault.
August 13, 2023:
  • Officers were dispatched to 80 calls for service, conducted 11 traffic stops, and made 9 arrests.
  • Officer Marcum was dispatched to the 1700 block of Ganson for a vehicle theft.  A 35-year-old male was arrested on multiple charges and an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Schram investigated a domestic assault in the 1500 block of Ganson St.  A 42-year-old male was arrested for the assault.
  • Officer Debczak was sent to Mechanic St. for a domestic situation.  He arrested a 46-year-old female for the assault.
  • Officers were sent to the area of Martin Luther King and High Streets for a subject with a gun.  A 27-year-old male was arrested for Resisting & Obstructing, Retail Fraud, a bond violation, and an outstanding warrant.
  • Officer Tripp arrested a 32-year-old male for retail fraud and an outstanding warrant.
  • Officers Brooker and Morse arrested a 40-year-old male on an outstanding warrant.
  • Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop near Martin Luther King and South St.  The 35-year-old male passenger was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Reynaga was sent to the 600 block of Martin Luther King for a possible domestic.  The 40-year-old suspect had left the area prior to police arrival.
  • Officers Simon and Tripp were conducting foot patrol downtown and made contact with a 40-year-old male subject who had an outstanding felony warrant.  The subject was taken into custody.
  • Officer Tripp contacted a subject in the 100 block of Cortland.  The 24-year-old male was arrested on several outstanding warrants and possession of meth.
