Flood Warning until 09:15AM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Michigan and southwest Michigan, including the following counties, in south central Michigan, Eaton and Ionia. In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa and Van Buren.

* WHEN...Until 915 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 917 PM EDT, Between 1.5 to 3 inches of rain has fallen as of 9 pm and another 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected overnight. These rain totals will result in areas of flooding, including along streams and roadways. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
