INCIDENT TYPE: Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon

DETAILS: On August 16, 2023, at 3:16am, officers were dispatched to Amarillo Boulevard and McMasters on a male who was shot. While officers were headed to that location, they were advised that the victim had been taken to an area hospital by private vehicle. The victim’s injuries were life threatening. Officers learned that the shooting possibly occurred in the 900 black of N. Jefferson. Officers were sent to that location and located a crime scene. The scene was processed, and evidence collected. Suspect has not been arrested. This case is being investigated by the Violent Crimes Unit.
