A Moorpark Police Department motorcycle enforcement deputy was injured in a traffic collision.
On August 16, 2023, at approximately 3:25PM, a Moorpark Police Department motorcycle enforcement deputy was injured in a traffic collision while responding to an unrelated reported traffic collision. The motorcycle enforcement deputy was responding with emergency lights and sirens when the traffic collision occurred. While traveling westbound on Los Angeles Avenue, at Millard Street, a female motorist made a left-hand turning maneuver and collided with the motorcycle enforcement deputy. The deputy suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The female motorist was uninjured.
