On Tuesday, August 15th, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant on an outdoor marijuana cultivation site in the 100 block of Railroad Flat Road in Railroad Flat, CA. The warrant led to the discovery of 83 growing marijuana plants and over 3,600 pounds of processed marijuana.
The Marijuana Enforcement Team estimates the total value of the seized marijuana to be between 2.6 and 3.7 million dollars, making it one of the most significant seizures in recent months. In addition to the marijuana, officers also recovered a .22 caliber revolver and a .22 caliber rifle from the premises. These firearms are currently being examined as part of the case.
No arrests were made at the time of the operation, and the investigation is continuing. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is committed to combating illegal marijuana cultivation and distribution within our community.
