INCIDENT: TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Male Adult, 23 year-old, and Female Adult 56 year-old.
SUSPECT: Meleni Fuentes; 22 year-old Pomona resident
On Friday, August 18, 2023, at approximately 6:21 PM, Pomona Police responded to a major traffic collision in the area of White Ave north of Berkeley Ave. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered a collision involving a sedan vs. a SUV. Witness on the scene stated the driver of the SUV rear-ended the sedan at a high rate of speed. This collision caused the sedan to lose control and collide with a light pole.
Occupants of the sedan were found unresponsive and gravely injured. LA County Fire arrived on scene and transported the driver and passenger to a nearby hospital.
The solo occupant of the SUV was identified as Meleni Fuentes. Officers made contact with Meleni Fuentes on-scene and determined her to be driving while impaired; she was arrested for Felony DUI.
