Weather Advisory for Antelope Valley
Victory Outreach will open for those seeking shelter on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 3 pm through Monday, Aug. 21 at 8 pm. Pickups are available, call 661-701-2145 to make arrangements.
Sandbags and sand are available while supplies last at the Palmdale Maintenance yard, located at 39110 3rd St. East. You may also pick up sandbags from your local fire station but you will need to supply your own sand.
Stay updated on the storm by registering for emergency alerts through ready.lacounty.gov and following US National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard.
If ordered to evacuate, do so immediately.

Before tropical storm Hilary arrives, have multiple ways to stay weather aware!
- Get an NOAA Weather Radio with battery backup!
- Download Alert LA County at: https://ready.lacounty.gov/.../alert-la-county-mobile-app/
- Enable Wireless Emergency Alerts on your phone
- Tune in to local media.
- Secure or bring in items that could become projectiles in strong winds.
- If roadways flood, turn around. Do not attempt to cross a flooded roadway!
- If the power goes out, keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed.
