Three Injured In Crash 

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 08/19/2023 at approximately 1918 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash near the intersection of M-62 and Pine Lake St, in Howard Township, Cass County Michigan.  

Investigation shows that a white Chrysler 200, operated by 37 year old Casandra Coleman of Chicago and occupied by 33 year old Tacarra Tswago of Ypsilanti, attempted to cross M-62 and was struck by a Dodge Durango in a side impact collision.  The Durango was operated by 60 year old Craig Wimbley of Kalamazoo. All involved parties were transported to St. Joseph Medical Center for injuries related to the crash.

Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. Assisting in this crash was Newberg Fire, Porter Fire, Edwardsburg Fire, SMCAS, and OTEPD.
