Activity for August 18 – 20, 2023:
August 18, 2023:
- Officers were dispatched to 80 calls for service, conducted 15 traffic stops, and made 6 arrests.
- Officer Stallworth conducted a traffic stop and arrested an 86-year-old male on an outstanding warrant.
- Officer Baker was dispatched for a domestic assault in the 100 block of Pearl St. She arrested a 23-year-old male for the assault.
- Officer Kuhn visited Hunt Elementary School.
- Officers were sent to the 300 block of Euclid for trouble with a subject. Officer Tripp transported a 27-year-old female to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
- Officer Erwin was dispatched to the 700 block of Steward for a domestic situation where the suspect left prior to police arrival. Officer Justice located the suspect, a 58-year-old male, and arrested him for violating a PPO and for OWI.
- Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop near Michigan/Page and arrested the 24-year-old female driver for OWI and child endangerment, as two small children were in the vehicle at the time. PBT was 0.15.
- Officers are investigating a shooting which occurred near Maple/High.
- Officer Justice conducted a traffic stop near Michigan/MLK and arrested the 57-year-old male driver for OWI. PBT was 0.149.
- Officers were sent to the 300 block of Bates St. for a B&E in progress. A 31-year-old female was arrested for the Home Invasion.
- Officers were sent to the area of Woodsum/South for several shots fired. A residence and a vehicle in the area were struck.
- Officers were dispatched to 74 calls for service, conducted 15 traffic stops, and made 4 arrests.
- Officer Elston was dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Bowen for a fight between roommates. A 34-year-old male was arrested for assault.
- Officer Kuhn was dispatched to the 300 block of VanBuren for a suicidal subject. A 41-year-old male was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
- Officers Kuhn and Schram attended the Backus Street Block Party.
- Officer Justice and reserve officers assisted with the Pride Parade.
- Officer Justice conducted a traffic stop near Chittock/High. One subject fled the scene and the other was uncooperative with police.
- Officers were sent to the 1600 block of Kibby for a domestic situation. The 37-year-old male was arrested for assaulting his mother.
- Officer Justice was dispatched to the 1000 block of Chittock for a domestic situation. A 38-year-old female was arrested for assaulting her 22-year-old daughter.
- Officers Panther and Brooks conducted a traffic stop in the area of Jackson/Washington. The 30-year-old male driver was arrested for OWI.
- Officers were sent to Yogi’s on Lansing Avenue for a suspicious situation.
- Officers were dispatched to 60 calls for service, conducted 3 traffic stops, and made 2 arrests.
- Officer Baker was dispatched to Angling Rd. for a B&E where the suspect was on-scene. A 46-year-old male was arrested for attempting to steal copper from the building.
- Officers Baker and Vernier conducted foot patrol downtown.
- Officer Farnsworth was dispatched for a missing autistic 12-year-old boy. The child is a mixed male, 5’6”, 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
- Officers Reasoner and Justice were sent to the area of S. East Ave./Teneyck/Page Ave. for a subject vandalizing buildings in the areas. A 22-year-old male was arrested for MDOPs to Henry Ford Health System buildings as well as Dixon Cardiology.
- Sergeant Burkart located a vehicle in Blair Park which had been reported as stolen from East Lansing.
- Sergeant Burkart, along with Officers Brooks, Erwin, Farnsworth, Justice, and Reasoner conducted foot patrol at The Parlour for their End of Summer Get Together.
