On Thursday August 17, 2023, at approximately 0225 hours, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) received a 911 call stating that a female had been stabbed. Responding RPDPS Officers located an 18-year-old female and a juvenile female in the 7300 block of Boris Court. The juvenile had lacerations on her legs and was transported to an area hospital.

While with the juvenile female at the hospital, an 18-year-old male arrived at the same hospital with a laceration to his arm and numerous head injuries including a swollen eye and numerous contusions.
The investigation revealed that two juvenile females were accompanied by the 18-year-old female at a residence in the 7300 block of Boris Court. The 18-year-old male was invited to the residence on Boris Court. A verbal altercation between the 18-year-old male and one of the juvenile females led to a physical altercation involving the three females and the male. As a result of the investigation, the following arrests were made:

One juvenile female was arrested on two felony charges, including one felony count of 273.5(a) PC – Domestic Violence and one felony count of 245(a)(4) PC – Assault upon the person of another by any means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.
Another juvenile female was arrested on one felony count of 245(a)(4) PC – Assault upon the person of another by any means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.
The 18-year-old female was arrested on one misdemeanor count of 148.9(a) PC – Providing false identification to a Peace Officer and one misdemeanor count of 1203.2(a) PC – Violation of pre-trial supervision. Charges have been requested for a violation of 245(a)(4) PC – Assault upon the person of another by any means of force likely to produce great bodily injury as this act is alleged to have been the cause of the 18-year-old male’s injuries.

All injured persons were treated for their injuries. All suspects were taken into custody and transported to the relevant Sonoma County detention facilities.

This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety Detective Kevin Escher at (707) 588-3542 and refer to case #23-2940.
