You will see a police presence at the Westlake High School this afternoon which will include police cars escorting school busses between the High School and the Westlake Board of Ed on Hilliard.  This is a pre-planned drill to practice reunification plans.  Reunification of students with families after an emergency event at any of our schools is another part of the emergency response plan developed with the Westlake Board of Education, Westlake Schools staff and the Westlake Police Department.  Our partners with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and neighboring cities' School Resource Officers will also be participating.  The exercise is expected to last from 1PM to 2:30PM.  No students are participating.
