The City, Custer County Water District, County Sanitarion, and Public Health Dept. are working together with City crews and have been testing for disinfection residual in the distribution system and flushing warer mains. The results of the tests will be forwarded to the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and Water Quality division to determine what steps need to be taken next and how long the boil order will be in effect.
Do not CONSUME the water unless BOILED. The water is safe for showering, laundry, and watering yards or gardens.
BOIL WATER ORDER is in effect until further notice. Please advise all friends, elderly, neighbors and family members. Updates will be provided through NIXLE.
