INCIDENT: Obstructing and Resisting an Officer, Assault
LOCATION: 11800 block of Ivy Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Christian Lanza, 26-year-old, transient of Phoenix
SUMMARY:
On August 20, 2023, at about 8:31 a.m., deputies with the Hesperia Police Department responded to the 11800 block of Ivy Avenue in the city of Hesperia, regarding a reported disturbance.
Upon arrival, it was learned the suspect, later identified as Christian Lanza, a 26-year-old transient of Phoenix, assaulted several family members and attempted to take his mother’s vehicle.
Deputies contacted Lanza in the driver’s seat of his mother’s vehicle in front of the residence. When deputies attempted to detain Lanza, he did not comply and resisted arrest. After a short struggle with Lanza, deputies gained control of Lanza and he was taken into custody.
Lanza was arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center and booked for PC69- Obstructing and Resisting an Officer and PC 242- Assault.
