* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to 115, possibly reaching 120 degrees in some locations.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and west central Illinois. Portions of central, east central, northeast, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...A historic heat wave is underway, due to the combination of extreme heat and humidity over a period of multiple days. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly during long-duration events such as these.

Instructions:
