Press Release: Catalytic Converter Robbery

On August 23, 2023, at 5:50 am, Culver City Police Officers responded to a call for service regarding two subjects in a physical fight in the 4000 block of Berryman Ave.
Officers arrived on scene and located the victim who explained that he was the victim of a catalytic converter theft by two suspects. The victim confronted suspect #1 and took ahold of him to prevent his escape, that is when suspect #2 struck him on the head with his fists, then struck him with a metal pipe. The suspects fled with the victim’s catalytic converter.
Culver City Fire Personnel responded and treated the victim who elected to seek his own medical treatment.

Suspect #2: Male Hispanic, 5'10, 175 lbs, grey sweater.
Suspect Vehicle: Dark Colored Chevy Camaro
Weapon: Metal Pipe
Property Taken: Catalytic Converter
