Yesterday, the East Greenbush Water Department along with the City of Rensselaer Water Department worked to repair a break to the main transmission line for the water system.  The repair has been successfully completed. The Water Departments worked with Rensselaer County throughout the entire process and at this time there is no boil water advisory.
As of this morning, the Town has received a number of calls regarding discolored water.  This happens often after a break, and we are closely monitoring the situation, but at this time, the water remains safe to consume.  
The Water Department is flushing some of the hydrants throughout Town to help flush water through the system so that it will run clear again.
