LOCATION: 15000 Block of Ilex Drive, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Clifford Harper, 49 years of age, resident of Rancho Cucamonga
VICTIM(S): The State of California and Townsend Junior High School
SUMMARY: On Thursday, August 24, 2023, at approximately 11:19 a.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Police Department were dispatched to Townsend Junior High School. School staff reported that Clifford Harper, a teacher, was possibly under the influence of an alcoholic beverage with students in his classroom. Deputies contacted the teacher on campus and conducted an investigation. Harper was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
