* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Lower Rouge River At Dearborn.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 AM EDT Friday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.3 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Impact...At 12.4 feet, Property damage will mainly be limited to park buildings and roads. Several homes may become isolated by flood waters. Many roads will closed due to flooding. Some bridges over the river in this area may be closed to traffic due to water reaching the bottom.
