* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central New Jersey...and northern New Jersey... including the following counties...in central New Jersey...Mercer and Monmouth. In northern New Jersey...Hunterdon, Middlesex, and Somerset.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 720 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen across portions of the advisory area, and as a result, minor flooding is either ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Up to 2.0 inches can be expected where the heaviest rain falls. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Long Branch, Asbury Park, Somerville, Sandy Hook, Somerset, Edison, Middletown, Old Bridge, Howell, and East Brunswick. - This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8A and 13. Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 29 and 34. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 12.
