Sandbag operations at Central Winds Park beginning August 26, 2023 
In anticipation of potential severe weather, the City of Winter Springs
along with Seminole County, will begin sandbag operations on August 26, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. at Central Winds Park, located at 1000 Central Winds Drive.
Empty bags and sand will be available to all residents of Seminole County from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or while supplies last.
Residents are limited to a total of 15 sandbags per household and should bring their own shovels, gloves and be prepared to fill and load the bags themselves.
It is recommended that you bring a partner to assist, as filled sandbags can weigh approximately 35 pounds.
