On April 18, 2023, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) Detectives received a tip from the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (SVICAC) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding a resident of Rohnert Park who was associated with an online account that had uploaded, downloaded, stored, and received child pornography. After an extensive investigation, Detectives identified the suspect as Uriel Oria Lugo, a 27-year-old male resident of Rohnert Park. During the course of this investigation, RPDPS received four additional tips from the SVICAC Taskforce and NCMEC that further assisted in identifying Oria Lugo as the suspect.
On August 23, 2023, RPDPS Detectives served a search warrant at Oria Lugo’s residence in the 700 block of E. Cotati Avenue, As a result, Oria Lugo was arrested for one felony count of 311.11 (a) PC – Possession of Child Pornography and was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on a $30,000 bond.
