The Green Bay Police Department has arrested a 24-year-old Ashwaubenon man suspected of causing serious injuries to a 23-year-old Green Bay woman in a domestic disturbance on August 25, 2023.
Officers were dispatched to a residence around 8:00 a.m. in the 400 block of S. Jackson Street for the incident. However, upon arriving on scene, police had learned that the suspect had fled.
Shortly after, it was reported that the suspect had made threats to harm law enforcement.
Then, just before 5:00 p.m. officers had located the suspect in a vehicle on Marlee Lane in Ashwaubenon and initiated a traffic stop near Lombardi Avenue, temporarily closing streets. An arrest was made within two hours and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
The suspect and the victim are reported to know each other. The victim is currently hospitalized.
Green Bay Police will be referring charges to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing. No additional details will be released at this time.
