Attention residents of the Borough of Haledon,

We want to bring your attention to a situation in the north west region regarding the presence of natural gas odor. The safety of our community is our utmost priority, and we are fully engaged in resolving this matter. 

Please be assured that the situation is being assessed by PSEG, Haledon Fire Department, and Haledon Police Department, along with the assistance of Passaic County Sheriff’s Office HazMat and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. 

While we understand that this may cause concern, we want to emphasize that there is currently no imminent danger to the residents. However, as a precautionary measure, we kindly request all residents to stay indoors until further notice. 

Rest assured, the professional teams on the ground are actively working to resolve the issue and ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
