Full Notification

On 8/26/2023, at about 1616 hours, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Metropolitan Patrol, responded to the 6700 block Byrd Street, in Bakersfield CA, for a suspicious circumstance. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male and female inside the residence. A homicide investigation was initiated due to the suspicious nature of the circumstances. Detectives from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit arrived on scene and assumed the investigation. The investigation is on-going.
