* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash and Warren.
* WHEN...Until 245 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1151 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Roanoke Rapids, Halifax, Scotland Neck, Littleton, Enfield, Weldon, Whitakers, Hobgood, Speed, Glenview, South Weldon, Medoc Mountain State Park, Airlie, Rosemary, Tillery, Roanoke Rapids Lake, Arcola, Southpointe And Morningstar Marinas and Lake Gaston. - http://www.floodsafety.noaa.gov
