Shortly after 8:00am on 08-28-2023, deputies responded to a rollover crash with entrapment on State Road 42 just inside of Vigo County involving a semi. When responders arrived on scene, all occupants were out of the overturned semi. A passenger had a severe laceration to her arm and hand from the accident and was flown to an Indianapolis Hospital for treatment. The driver, 30yr old Barry Collins Jr of Gloster, Mississippi stated he was traveling eastbound on State Road 42 when a vehicle began drifting towards his lane. Barry stated he got over as far as he could causing his trailer to go off into the ditch. Barry stated his load of wood boards shifted, causing him to lose control with the semi and trailer rolling over. No citations were issued Drugs & alcohol is not a factor.
