Activity for August 25 – 27, 2023:
August 25, 2023:
- Officers were dispatched to 106 calls for service, conducted 7 traffic stops, and made 2 arrests.
- Officer Elston was dispatched to the 300 block of Euclid for trouble with a female subject. The 27-year-old female was arrested for violating her conditional bond.
- Officer Marcum was sent to the 1000 block of Ganson for a fraud report.
- Officer Elston was sent to the 300 block of Euclid for a suicidal subject. A 24-year-old female was taken into protective custody and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
- Officer Marcum took a report of a vehicle stolen from the parking ramp at Henry Ford Health Jackson.
- Officer Panther was sent to a vacant residence in the 800 block of Foote St. for a subject inside the home.
- Cadet Richardson handled many calls for downed wires and downed trees.
- Officer Brooker was sent to the 900 block of Burr for an overdose. The 33-year-old male subject was treated by JCA and JFD on scene. He declined any further medical treatment.
- Officer Morse located a stolen vehicle near West Ave. and Andrew.
- In the area of Wesley and Jackson St., Officer Thoresen located a vehicle reported stolen with Lansing PD. The vehicle stopped and two occupants fled the area. One 17-year-old male was taken into custody for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Resisting & Obstructing. Two other occupants, both 18-year-old males, were located and charges will be sought at a later time.
- Officer Brookers and Morse conducted foot patrol downtown.
- Officers were dispatched to 89 calls for service, conducted 16 traffic stops, and made 5 arrests.
- Officer Debczak was sent to the 1400 block of Merriman for a domestic assault. A 34-year-old male was arrested for the assault.
- Officers Allison and Brooks conducted foot patrol.
- Officer Brooker conducted a traffic stop near Lansing/Winters and arrested a 40-year-old male for multiple outstanding warrants.
- Officer Brooker was sent to the 900 block of Porter for a domestic assault between two brothers. He arrested an 18-year-old male for assaulting his 19-year-old brother.
- Officer Morse was sent to the area where the railroad crosses Steward Ave. for a train vs. pedestrian crash. The 46-year-old male pedestrian was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
- Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of E. Michigan. He ultimately arrested a 45-year-old male for OWI. PBT was 0.21.
- Officer Schram was sent to the area of Summit/Deyo for a crash. She arrested a 24-year-old male for OWI. During his arrest, he resisted Officer Schram and Sergeant Burkart. This added charges for Resisting & Obstructing to the original OWI and leaving the scene of accident; he had struck two different parked cars.
- Officers were dispatched to 78 calls for service, conducted 2 traffic stops, and made 2 arrests.
- Officers Marcum and Brooks arrested a 26-year-old male for violating his conditional bond and for removing his tether.
- Officer Brooks took a larceny report which occurred in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Martin Luther King.
- Officer Marcum took a stolen vehicle report for a mini-bike which was stolen from the 400 block of Steward.
- Officer Marcum investigated a traffic crash involving a SUV and a motorcycle. The 25-year-old motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
- Officer Allison was sent to the 200 block of Wesley St. for a domestic situation between roommates. A 65-year-old male was arrested for the assault.
- Officer Schram located a vehicle in the area of High and Martin Luther King which had been reported as stolen to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
- Officer Allison was dispatched to the 200 block of Steward for an overdose. The 60-year-old female was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
